Northern Michigan Waterways Hazardous Material Spill Planning Committee (NO-SPILLS) Conference
The Northern Michigan Waterways Hazardous Material Spill Planning Committee (No-Spills) is a regional organization focused on prevention of hazardous material spills on the Great Lakes and its tributaries. No-Spills provides a platform for networking that encourages and facilitates interaction between agency and industry professionals, subject matter experts and other interested parties to foster communication and promote the study and analysis of issues associated with the prevention of mitigation of hazardous material spills. The 2016 No-Spills Conference (26th) is scheduled for January 4-6, 2016, in Traverse City, Michigan at Grand Traverse Resort and Spa. The conference theme is “Keeping the Great Lakes Water Pure”.
The audience is staff from: county emergency managers, responders and planners, local health departments, America and Canadian Indian Tribes, the United States and Canadian Coast Guard, Michigan Department of Environmental Quality (MDEQ), the United States Environmental Protection Agency, emergency response contractors, environmental consultants and engineering companies, Great Lakes marine oil terminals, oil and gas transportation companies, major power companies and other government, business and industry staff.
